BELARUS: KGB raid Moscow Patriarchate fellowship group:

When six KGB officers raided a prayer meeting of the Transfiguration Fellowship back in March at the home of Sergei Nesterovich in Gomel, this represented the first time to Forum 18's knowledge that adherents of the Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate have been targeted for their religious activity in Belarus since the Soviet period.

Presentation of paschal musical "One Life - one chance" was held by Art student initiative CREDO in filological faculty of Belarusian state university (6th of May). The same presentation was to be shown in Minsk state linguistic university on the 3rd of May but it was canceled by the administration. Original music was composed for the musical, during it fragmets from "Passions of Christ" movie were demonstrtated. The plot was about one guy who passed through temptations of power, reprobation and money and converted to Christ. The main role was presented by student from Nigeria Tary.

The religious situation in Belarus:

In Belarus, by January of this year, 1315 Orthodox communities (1092temples), on the second place Protestants- 983 among which only Pentacosts - 482, bypassed on this parameter the second on "historicity" Catholic Church (433 communities) are registered.

At the Royal Doors:

The Royal Doors is only occasionally open for us... But it's open, and it reminds us, that nevertheless the Lord is among us, that nevertheless there is the Church, seen or invisible, collected or absent-minded, but she is and testifies to the Lord. If this not so our life is vain.
